Wildfires in Portugal are becoming an all-too-familiar scene.<br /><br />Over 1,000 firefighters are tackling major blazes across four regions. At least four of the eleven fires that are raging are considered major, the National Civil Protection Authority reports.<br /><br />Abnormally high temperatures are said to be fanning the spread, cutting off several roads and sweeping through at least one vast forested area.<br /><br />One person is known to have died while tackling the fires. Over the summer, international assistance was brought in to help control numerous wildfires, which killed dozens and injured hundreds.<br />
