Footage of a pet monkey hugging a stray cat after the two became inseparable best friends. <br /><br />Seven-year-old macaque Lilly was taken in after being attacked by wild animals and found injured in Surat Thani, Thailand. <br /><br />Owner Wuttichai, 27, built a home in his garden where she has lived for over a year.<br /><br />In August a stray male kitten visited Lilly and the two instantly bonded. Macaques have a reputation for attacking people, but Lilly spends hours just holding the cat in her arms. <br /><br />Wuttichai said the kitten was like an adopted son. He said: ''I don't know where the cat came from but we noticed her one day with Lillly. There was no aggression, they were sitting next to each other gazing looking at each other.''<br /><br />''Since then the cat has kept coming back. Lilly puts her arms round her and they lay down together. They never fight. I've never seen anything like it before, a cat and a monkey so close.''<br /><br />''Lilly was injured when we found her and we helped her to recover. I think the cat is helping her to get better, too,'' he added.
