Colborne Lodge is located in High Park, Toronto and was the home of architect John George Howard (1803-1890) and his wife Jemima Frances Meikle (1802-1877).\r<br>\r<br>Jemima succumbed to breast cancer in 1877, believed to be the first woman in Toronto diagnosed with the disease. Both Jemima and her husband John are buried in High Park.\r<br>\r<br>To this day, there have been many reports of visitors seeing an older woman looking out of the upper window..
