Vegetable Biryani Recipe in Electric Rice Cooker <br />Ingredients <br />Mix Vegetables - 200 gm , Basmati Rice - 3 cups <br />Onion - 3 , Tomato - 1 <br />Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp <br />Green Chillies - 2 <br />Chilli powder - 1 tsp , Mint & Coriander leaves - few <br />Oil or Ghee - 3 tsp , salt - as needed <br />Fennel seeds or powder - 1 tsp <br />Cumin seeds or powder - 1 tsp <br />Cinnamon, Bay leaves , pepper, cardomon, cloves - few <br />Lemon - half, <br />Curd or Yoghurt - 2 tsp <br /> <br />Soak Basmati Rice in water for 30 minutes <br />Add Oil or Ghee to hot pan followed by whole spices <br />Add Fennel seeds or powder now <br />Add cut green chillies followed by chopped onions <br />Add Salt followed by Ginger Garlic paste <br />Add Chopped Tomato and mix well once onion turns light brown <br />Add chopped vegetables such as carrot, Beans and potatoes <br />Allow it to cook for a minute <br />Add Red Chilli Powder and mix well <br />Leave it to cook for 5 minutes in medium flame <br />Add few Mint leaves, Curd or Yoghurt and mix well <br />Add the soaked Basmati Rice and mix well, fry for 2 minutes in low flame or till it becomes dry <br />Add the mix to Electric Rice Cooker pot <br />Add 4 cups of water for 3 cups of rice, squeeze half lemon and mix it slightly <br />Add Green peas now(if you like ) before closing the lid <br />Allow it to cook for 10 minutes and keep the lid closed for 5 more minutes <br />Add few chopped coriander leaves now ! <br />Mix it slightly and Tasty Vegetable Biryani is now ready !
