1996 Space Jam Action Figures: Tune Squad & Monstars Review\r
Lets take a look at some more of the 1996 Space Jam toys by Playmates Toys. Usually, two figures were sold together on a card for around $7 along with an accessory.\r
\r
The human charers in this line and the Monstars share the same simple style of articulation with rotating heads, rotating arms, and rotation at the waist. \r
\r
The Looney Tunes Toon Squad figures are even more limited with rotation at the head and arms.\r
\r
These ion figures usually came with a basketball accessory that has a hole on one side. The basketball can fit on a peg that is located on one of the figures hands. \r
\r
The figures I will be going over include:\r
Wile Coyote & Charles Barkley with ACME Turbo Vermin Launcher \r
Michael Jordan & Bugs Bunny with Hyper Lane Surfer \r
Swackhammer & Tweety with hangtime hoop cage \r
Daffy Duck & Pound with sky dunk bouncer \r
Lola Bunny & Bang with Jumpin Jam hoop \r
Marvin the Martian & Nawt with Slammin saucer \r
Larry Johnson & nerdluck Bupkus & Barnyard Dog \r
Tasmanian Devil & Blanko with Twist & Roll Cyclone\r
Michael Jordan & Elmer Fudd with Flight School Flinger\r
Michael Jordan & Sylvester with Sky Stilts\r
Patrick Ewing & nerdluck Bang & Pepe Le Pew \r
\r
The Monstars vary in height by quite a bit. The Tune Squad has the advantage of numbers, but they are going to need it. Those Monstars play dirty. \r
\r
So my final thoughts on this line are I love the variety of charers made, but I wish the charers themselves were more in scale to each other and they had some lower body articulation. I also always thought it was strange the remaining two nba players that the Monstars stole their powers from did not receive ion figures. But overall, I really like this line of toys and I remember having the set on display on a bookshelf for a couple of years when I was a kid.\r
\r
If you liked this review, you may want to check out the Space Jam Moron Air Ship with Nerdluck figures at: \r
\r
Or maybe youd like to see some 90s Lion King Action Figures at: \r
\r
If you enjoyed this video, I would really appreciate it if you could please give it a like and share it with your friends with similar interests.
