Way back in the Mesolithic era of 2010, Pat Gudauskas was the first surfer to pull a rodeo flip in World Tour Competition. At the Billabong Pro Tahiti of all places. Surfing – and Pat – have come a long way since then. But the breakthrough is emblematic of Pat’s approach to his craft. While he has an unmistakable Gudauskas glow about him, he also has a no-bullshit drive to be the best surfer in the world – no matter the condition. His performance at the 2015 Peahi Big Wave Challenge fit that desire well.

We caught up with Pat at the Vans on the North Shore house last winter in our HEADSPACE series.

The Inertia: The Definitive Voice of Surf, Mountain, and Outdoors // http://www.theinertia.com

Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/TheInertiaYT

Follow us!
https://twitter.com/the_inertia
https://www.facebook.com/TheInertia
http://instagram.com/theinertia
http://www.pinterest.com/theinertia/
