Rich The Kid had a big moment last month with the release of “New Freezer,” his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. Since it dropped on September 26, “New Freezer” has already become one of the Atlanta rapper’s most popular songs on Genius with nearly 100,000 page views. It’s also performing well on Spotify, racking up 8.7 million streams since its release. The Ben Jayne-produced track kicks off with a verse from Rich before Kendrick comes in to tear things up on the latter half of the song. As Rich the Kid notes, the Kendrick collaboration happened thanks to his A&R.
