Police end hostage situation at bowling alley in central England

Police have ended an armed hostage situation at a bowling alley in Nuneaton, central England, arresting the alleged gunman and freeing his two hostages. <br /><br />In a statement, Warwickshire Police confirmed that one man was arrested at MFA Bowl and taken into police custody. <br /><br />“We are pleased that we were able to bring this incident to a peaceful resolution and that there were no injuries. I would like to reassure the Nuneaton community that the incident is unconnected to any terrorist activity,” said Warwickshire Police Chief Superintendent Alex Franklin-Smith. <br /><br />The West Midlands Ambulance Service earlier tweeted that the suspect had been treated at the scene and taken to hospital. <br /><br />Pleased to say that the situation in #Nuneaton is now resolved.
