A teenager has been arrested after several people were wounded by an attacker wielding an axe in Flums, a small town in north-eastern Switzerland.<br /><br />Bruno Metzger, a spokesman for the regional police in St Gallen said the incident had no connection to terrorism: “we assume victims were attacked randomly and without terrorist intent”, he commented.<br /><br />Suspect shot <br /><br />The suspect, a 17-year old, Latvian national living locally, was injured by firearms officers in the course of his arrest.<br /><br />It’s believed he attacked people in the town square, fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
