A remarkable video has emerged of a desert tortoise walking with a rattle snake perched on its shell. <br /><br />The footage, shot on August 28 in Arizona, shows the Western diamondback rattlesnake hissing on the back of the tortoise. <br /><br />"I don't know the reason why this tortoise and the rattlesnake were together but I'm glad they were," the filmer told Newsflare. <br /><br />"It is not uncommon for rattlesnakes and tortoises to share the same burrows but I had never seen them hanging out in the open like this."<br /><br />"Probably once in a lifetime experience," he added.
