It hasn’t been that long since Christina El Moussa split from boyfriend Doug Spedding after claims of infidelity made headlines and he entered a rehabilitation center to treat addiction issues.<br /><br />But a source close to the Flip or Flop star says their months-long relationship was always a work in progress.<br /><br />The friend told Us Weekly that Doug was a sort of a rebound relationship that he filled a void in her life but she knew it would never truly work out.<br /><br />Christina and Doug were friends for a decade, and they tried to make their union more than platonic, but it never got to the point where she knew she could settle down with him.<br /><br />Christina and Doug began dating earlier in the year and Entertainment Tonight claimed that the former couple previously dated years before she married Tarek.<br /><br />Tarek and Christina split in December 2016 after seven years of marriage.<br />
