<p>Thailand began a five-day mourning period for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Wednesday, October 25. The ceremony involved a procession of the Royal Chariot of Great Victory, holding the leader’s remains, to the ceremonial ground in Sanam Luang.</p><p>Performances took place into the night on October 26, with a masked dance show</a> depicting a traditional myth before the cremation at 10 pm.</p><p>The ceremony was attended by about 157,000 mourners</a>, the Bangkok Post reported.</p><p>The late king died in October 2016 at the age of 88.
