Let’s not pretend, everyone loves fried chicken. Follow these quick and easy to follow steps and you’ll be crunching a fried delight just like Momma used to make. Start to finish in under 15 minutes, we like to double up on the portions to plan on a lot of overeating, it’s that good.</p>Ingredients:<ul>1lb chicken thighs (cut into medium size pieces)</p></li>2 tablespoons of soy sauce</p></li>1 tablespoon cooking wine</p></li>1/2 teaspoon of sugar</p></li>1 teaspoon 5 spice powder</p></li>1/2 tablespoon chopped ginger</p></li>1 tablespoon chopped scallions</p></li>1 egg yolk</p></li>3 tablespoons cornstarch</p></li></ul> </p>Preparation:Step 1:</p><ul>Add cut chicken into large mixing bowl</p></li>Add soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, 5 spice powder, ginger, scallions, egg yolk, and cornstarch.</p></li>Gently mix.</p></li></ul>Step 2:</p><ul>For extra crisp (highly recommended), roll each piece in flour.</p></li>Heat cooking oil in frying pan at Medium-high heat.</p></li>Deep fry until golden brown, remove, and let it rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.</p></li></ul><br />Plate, serve, and prepare yourself for the sounds of oooohhhh and ahhhhhh, enjoy!
