Man almost blinded when 1,200 exploding fireworks thrown into corner shop <br /> <br />Terrifying CCTV footage captured the moment a man casually threw a box of lit fireworks inside a local convenience store – almost blinding a shop worker. <br /> <br />The box called Ammo contained 1200 rounds of fireworks – sending rockets exploding through the shop with staff members inside. <br />Immediately after throwing the fireworks into the doorway of the Go Local Extra in Bootle, Merseyside, the terrifying explosions began. <br /> <br />Staff – who were inside the shop when it happened at around 8.40pm on Bonfire Night – can be seen desperately trying to escape the explosions. <br /> <br />One worker, Sanjaya Wickramage, 43, was hit in the eye by a rocket as he tried to extinguish the box.
