LAS VEGAS — The driverless electric shuttle bus made a big bang in its debut in Vegas on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, the bang came in the form of an accident after only two hours of being in service, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Luckily for the self-driving bus, the fender bender was the other guy's fault.

Police responded to an accident involving the shuttle and a delivery truck at 12:07 p.m. Damage was minor and no one was hurt, authorities said.

It looks like the shuttle was minding its own business when it sensed a truck was attempting to back up, so it came to a stop.

Problem is, the truck kept backing up until it gave the shuttle a little love tap. The truck driver ended getting a ticket for illegal backing.

The driverless shuttle is designed to communicate with traffic signals, share the road with other vehicles, while stopping for pedestrians.

The shuttle is sponsored by AAA, which has partnered with the city, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and Keolis Transit America on the project.
