Footage has emerged of firefighters rescuing an elderly man trapped in wet sand in China.<br /><br />The video, filmed in Changzhou City in eastern-central Jiangsu Province on November 6, shows firefighters standing on a self-made temporary boat construction and shovelling mud in order to try to pull the elderly man out.<br /><br />According to local news, the man got stuck in the wet sand while trying to catch clams.<br /><br />Nearby villagers called rescuers after they themselves failed to get him free, despite struggling for two hours.<br /><br />The man was eventually rescued and was not seriously harmed.
