Jordin Sparks has had a banner year…<br /><br />Not only did the American Idol alum secretly wed her boyfriend in mid-July… but the newlyweds are also expecting their first child together late next spring.<br /><br />Sparks confirmed the news to PEOPLE, saying they’re both really excited and proud to be married to each other.<br /><br />The couple eloped while on vacation on July 16th with a small group of friends while in Hawaii. <br /><br />They surprised their loved ones with the news of their wedding, then shocked them one month later when they found out they were expecting.<br /><br />Sparks added that it’s been really crazy because everything changes… and once they got over the initial shock of it, now they’re excited to share this amazing thing that’s happening.<br /><br />Our congratulations to the happy couple!<br />
