Buy Other Echoes EP - http://bit.ly/OtherEchoes<br />We caught up with Other Echoes in his home town of Cambridge..<br />Filmed by Andrew Attah, Edited by Leo Pepperrell (leo.pepperrell@myport.ac.uk)<br /><br />Introducing Other Echoes - Seven electronic tracks of the highest<br />quality, keeping up the Hospital Records tradition of forward<br />thinking, melodic, bass heavy music, but this time with a slower<br />tempo.<br /><br />The honour of being the first exclusively non-drum+bass signing for<br />Hospital for nearly 9 years goes to up and coming producer Nick<br />Gresham. Making his debut with a highly accomplished self-titled EP,<br />Other Echoes brings us seven electronic tracks which successfully<br />blend broken beat, future garage and dubstep.<br /><br />"Juice Bumps" has already received upfront support from Skream & Benga<br />on their Radio One show, and kicks off the EP with a vocal stab master<br />class sitting on top of an awesome synth and bass work out which<br />develops throughout the track. This, along with "Got The Music" and<br />"Asteroid" -- the closing cut, (featuring Logistics) -- represent the<br />more steppy, dancefloor angles of the EP.<br /><br />"Further" contrasts brass and afro rhythms with deep chord<br />progressions to give you a sound to shake dancefloors everywhere from<br />Croydon to Cape Town. Two ambitious vocal offerings can be found in<br />"You'll Be My Medicine" (with vocals from Alice Smith) and "Free<br />Running" the latter bringing a more reflective sound to proceedings<br />with vocalist Julian Huggins. All this is topped off by the sleeping<br />dubstep giant that is "Sunburn''.<br /><br />Oh and Gresham? Where have you heard that before? Nick is the latest<br />member of this talented family including brother Dan (Nu:Tone) and<br />Matt (Logistics) to join the Hospital family.
