Madrid, Nov 16 (EFE), (Camera: Juan Yagüe).- An armed assailant who entered a bank in south Madrid, taking several employees hostage, has turned himself in to police, security officials told EFE Thursday.<br />The man, thought to be around 60 years old, had entered a branch of Bankia in the working-class district of Usera at around 9.50 am local time and holed himself up inside with several of the bank's employees.<br />The tense situation unfolded for just over an hour before the suspect handed himself over to police, who had gathered outside.<br />No-one was injured during the incident.<br />The street where the bank is located, close to Usera's Olof Palme Park, was cordoned off by police, according to local residents who spoke with EFE.<br /> <br />SHOT LIST: FOOTAGE RECORDED BY WITNESS MARIA LOPEZ.<br /> <br />Keywords: efe,bank,robbery,hostages,madrid,spain.
