While firmly rooted in the techno scene, his unerring taste has seen great records tapped up as of late from the likes of Samuli Kemppi, FSG, Stanislav Tolkachev and Truss; hardly unknown names, but plucked from just far enough outside the usual hotspots to feel like outliers. It's one of his strongest suits: and in working with worthy upstart Parachute Records - first on last year's Toe Tag EP, and now on Fabric Safety Apparatus Vol.1 - he's come up trumps again.<br /><br />"Slope" sees the Milanese maestro in fine fettle. The track is typically driving, eyes-down techno with an indelible groove coursing throughout, and a keen appreciation of when to give and when to go. Flanked by South London Ordinance on one side and Clockwork the other, the compilation is a must.
