<p>The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a man bitten by a shark near Stillwater Cove, Pebble Beach, on Friday, November 24.</p><p>The man suffered severe injuries, but intervention from a sheriff’s deputy prevented “massive blood loss,” according to a statement.</p><p>Scouting the area from the air in the aftermath of the attack, the air-unit spotted a “large aquatic animal” in the sea off Pescadero Point.
