Footage of a heavy police presence in the surroundings of the Gherkin skyscraper, in the heart of the City of London.<br /><br />The video, shot on November 28, shows a reported lockdown situation as armed police have approached a suspicious vehicle parked on the street next to the building.<br /><br />"Sirens everywhere, lots of shouting, police very keen to clear the area," the filmer reported.<br /><br />City Police's statement finally declared it as a false alarm:<br />"We can confirm all road closures in the area surrounding St Mary Axe (EC3) have been lifted and the vehicle has been deemed non-suspicious. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested for possession of false identity documents."
