<p>Residents of Victoria, Australia, were warned to expect flash floods on December 1 as thunderstorms and heavy rain hit the state.</p><p>The Bureau of Meteorology said</a> that a maximum of 250 mm of rain was forecast for the northeast of the state.</p><p>Several major events in the state were cancelled, including Taste of Melbourne and Tennis Victoria Premier League, while several flights were also diverted to Sydney, according to reports</a>.</p><p>This footage shows flooding in Fairfield, Victoria.
