<p>Victorian Liberal politician Tim Wilson proposed to his partner, Ryan Bolger, during Question Time in Parliament on December 4.</p><p>Wilson was speaking about the proposed same-sex marriage bill, mentioning his own experience living as a gay man and the fear in his youth about coming out.</p><p>About the proposed legislation, Wilson said for him and his partner, “This debate has been the soundtrack to our relationship.”</p><p>“The only question that remains is – will you marry me?”</p><p>Bolger nodded yes and called out ‘yes’ and the response was recorded in Parliament’s Hansard transcripts.
