<p>Syrian forces fired anti-aircraft missiles to thwart an attack by Israeli forces on the northwest Damascus countryside village of Jamraya, late in the night on December 4, according to pro-regime sources.</p><p>Hezbollah-affiliated media such as Al Manar</a> and Al Mayadeen</a> reported that Israeli forces fired six missiles, three of which were intercepted by Syria’s air defence system.</p><p>The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights</a> reported that “violent explosions shook” the city of Damascus as a result of the attack on Jamraya, which is home to Syria’s Scientific Studies and Research Center.</p><p>According to pro-regime Radio Sham FM, this video shows a surface to air missile being launched towards Israeli forces.</p><p>On Friday, December 1, pro-regime media reported</a> that Israeli forces had fired missiles at Al Kiswah, in the southwest outskirts of Damascus.
