Fire Crews Work to Douse Wind-Fueled Lilac Fire

<p>Air tankers and firefighting planes were spotted dropping fire retardant across Fallbrook-Bonsall, California, area on Thursday, December 7, to combat the 2,500-acre Lilac Fire.</p><p>According to the San Diego Union-Tribune</a>, the fire destroyed “dozens” of structures and threatened 1,000 more. Mandatory evacuations were issued for thousands of homes.</p><p>Early Thursday, Cal Fire reported</a> winds could reach 80 mph in some areas.</p><p>Two people were reported injured.
