The New York Police Department has identified a suspected bomber as a 27-year-old from Bangladesh.<br />Identified as Akayed Ullah, the man is a resident of Brooklyn.<br />Police suspect that Ullah detonated a pipe bomb on his person at a busy bus terminal near Times Square.<br />However, the explosion only injured the bomber and three others.<br />New York City Major Bill de Blasio added that the man did not achieve his ultimate goals.<br />Major de Blasio described the incident as an attempted terrorist attack. <br />
