The New York Police Department has taken a man into custody for detonating a bomb.<br />According to authorities, the 27-year-old man detonated a pipe bomb strapped to his body at a busy bus terminal near Time Square.<br />The explosion occurred at 7:30 a.m. on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th avenue.<br />The location is home to New York City's busiest transit hubs, connecting the Times Square and Port Authority subway stations.<br />Police identified the suspect as Akayed Ullah. <br />
