A man who detonated a pipe bomb strapped to his person has been arrested.<br />According to authorities in New York City, the 27-year-old attempted to blow up a busy bus terminal.<br />The NYPD identified the man as Akayed Ullah, a Bangladeshi man and resident of Brooklyn.<br />Police added that he detonated an explosive device, but it partially failed.<br />The subsequent explosion only injured the bomber and three others.<br />New York Mayor Bill de Blasio stated Ullah attempted to commit an act of terror. <br />
