Carter is a result of 3 decades of picking up a guitar nearly everyday.<br /><br />His sound is one of original tone with a passion for words, and an ability to convey relatable emotions through his own songs of despair, love & tale.<br /><br />T.j carter is no one trick pony. He tastefully blends many forms of roots music from dobro fueled southern delta blues, to sincere acoustic folk displaying his songwriting craft.<br /><br />Adelaide born & raised, t.j began to develop his love of original music in the 90’s with his first ‘real’ band at the age of 16. “the excitement of recording an album and gigging in the seedy parts of adelaide in the 90’s feels like a great achievement to me. From there on i was hooked”<br /><br />A secondary love of travel saw him traveling around the world & living abroad.
