Tropical Storm Kai-tak Brings State of Calamity to Ormoc City

<p>Tropical Storm Kai-tak brought heavy rainfall to parts of the Philippines on Saturday, December 16, leaving parts of the country submerged under water.</p><p>This video was shared on Facebook by Ormoc City’s mayor Richard Gomez from the province of Leyte. It shows the flooded land surrounding a road in the city as he drove along. Issuing a plea to residents, the 51-year-old former actor captioned the video: “State of calamity for Ormoc City has been declared by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council. More work ahead. To the residents of this city; please lend some of your valuable time to help our fellow Ormocanon.
