<p>A power outage occurred at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Sunday, December 17, stranding passengers after a fire apparently damaged an underground electrical facility.</p><p>Nearly 1,000 flights</a> to and from Atlanta were canceled, with many diverted to nearby airports. Passengers used flashlights on their phones to navigate in the dark, and one person told CNN</a> that the situation “felt totally apocalyptic”.</p><p>The video shows passengers walking up stopped escalators.</p><p>Power was restored to one concourse at around 7:45 pm</a>, more than six hours after the outage occurred.
