Thousands March for Cleaner Air in Southern Taiwan

<p>More than 3,000 protesters</a> took to the streets of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan on Sunday, December 17, to call for cleaner air and regulation of air quality.</p><p>This livestreamed footage from the rally shows the participants marching along Kaohsiung’s Bo’ai 2nd Road, waving banners and chanting slogans.</p><p>According to Taipei Times</a>, ralliers specifically demanded a ban on coal burning and that state-run companies, including Taiwan Power Company, CPC Corporation and China Steel Corporation, reduce pollution emissions by 50 percent within three years.
