The fire that has been called "Thomas" is now officially the largest wildfire on record for the state of California. The fire has been burning large ares of Southern California starting from outside of Ventura and spreading further and further. According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, a total of 273,400 acres have been burned in the Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. <br />
