A British woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for smuggling drugs into Egypt.<br />According to reports, Laura Plummer must also pay a fine equivalent to $5,600.<br />The 33-year-old was arrested on October 9th at Hurghada International Airport for carrying 290 tablets of tramadol in her suitcase.<br />She was subsequently charged with drug possession and smuggling.<br />Plummer brought the prescription painkiller for her husband, an Egyptian who suffers from back pain. <br />
