<p>Police arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted a police officer in Balmoral Ridge, Queensland, on December 22.</p><p>The man allegedly attacked the officer in the head while he was pulled over during a routine intercept. After that, he stole the officer’s helmet attached to a bodycam, which recorded the incident. The 47-year-old male sergeant was treated for facial injuries.</p><p>After police issued an appeal</a> on December 24, Keven De Vroom, 45, turned himself in to police on December 27 at Maroochydore Police Station</a> where he was charged with a number of offences.
