The National Football League cancelled the final broadcast of Sunday Night Football.<br />According to league officials, they were concerned a late-evening football game on New Year's Eve would not be big for ratings.<br />The NBC broadcast typically features two playoff contenders during the final game of their season, but none of the Week 17 match-ups fit their usual bill.<br />So the league chose to reschedule the Sunday Night Football game for the late-afternoon.<br />Now, seven games will air at 1 p.m. <br />
