<p>A reporter with Syria’s Orient News, Yaman al-Sayed</a>, was injured when an explosive went off next to him while he was covering bombings in the area around Irbin, east of Damascus, on January 2.</p><p>Qasioun News Agency reported that more than 20 strikes hit the town of Irbin on January 2.</p><p>The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said</a> eight people were reported killed by airstrikes and government artillery strikes on January 2, bring the death toll in the area to 46 since December 29.</p><p>A local activist shared a photo of al-Sayed</a> in the hours after he was wounded, showing him in bandages and saying he was recovering.
