Drone Footage Shows Muddy 101 Freeway in California

<p>The 101 Freeway was shut down between Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in California on Tuesday, January 9, because of mudflows across the highway.</p><p>The 101 was shut down in both directions for more than 30 miles near where the Thomas wildfire burned last year, the Los Angeles Times reported</a>. Heavy rain in the early hours of Tuesday morning triggered flooding and mudflows in areas burned by wildfires last year.</p><p>At least five people were killed</a>, including in Montecito where mudflows trapped people in vehicles and their homes.
