<br /> <p>A group of friends were out fishing near Mooloolaba, Queensland, when they were shocked by the rare sight of a curious whale shark on Wednesday, January 10.</p><p>The animal nosed their boat closely and caused one awed person to wonder if it was trying to chew their out-board motor.</p><p>“The whale shark is very rare in Queensland and we don’t believe one has been caught on camera around the Sunshine Coast in years,” uploader Michael Clark said.
