The second video as part of the 'Resource Efficiency' campaign from Siemens features John Quitter, power plant operator on his night shift at the Lodi power plant in California. The Flex, as the work force at Lodi call it, is a combined cycle power plant - complementing energy gained from renewable sources with reliable energy sources. It can ramp up in ten minutes to deliver power to the grid when wind and solar sources die down.
