Rescue crews in Santa Barbara County have extended their search, days after deadly mudslides swept through the area.<br />At least 17 people have died due to the mudslides, caused by heavy rains.<br />Thick mud and sludge has filled in streets and caked over highways, making the work of rescue crews difficult.<br />At least 1,250 emergency workers are using drones in the air, and heavy equipment on the ground to work through the muck. <br />
