A slew of stars rushed into the theatres this week with big releases, but it was Dwayne Johnson and company that held firm at the top spot.<br /><br />Jumanji remained at the top of the box office with an estimated ticket take of $27 million, bringing in its total haul to an estimated $300 million domestically, and a worldwide earning of $667 million. <br /><br />And that’s not too shabby.<br /><br />Jumanji pushed Tom Hanks’ The Post to the number two position with a forecast of $18.6 million – which isn’t bad considering it started off slowly with a limited release.<br /><br />Fox Studios is hoping the drama film will pick up around Oscar season, seeing that it has perennial powerhouses Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, and Steven Spielberg as it’s top billed.<br /><br />The movie went home empty handed after the 2018 Golden Globe Awards and it didn’t get a nomination for the BAFTA’s either.<br /><br />Oscar voting ends this week.<br />
