The U.S. Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against North Carolina saying that the state’s new bathroom law is a violation of the Civil Rights Act and the Violence Against Women Act that outlaws discrimination on the basis of sex.<br /><br />The Justice Department is asking that North Carolina change the act or risk being in violation of federal law.<br /><br /> James Valles reporting (BNO News)
