<p>Churning clouds of smoke and ash emerged from the Philippines’ Mayon volcano on Tuesday, January 16, clouding the skies above eastern Albay province and causing thousands to evacuate their homes.</p><p>This livestreamed footage, geotagged in the north of Daraga municipality, in eastern Albay province, shows the clouds from a distance.</p><p>Rappler reported</a> that nearly 6,000 people were evacuated from the Albay municipalities Camalig, Guinobatan and Malilipot, since their neighborhoods were located in the volcano’s potential danger zone.
