Samsung to Release Special Galaxy 8 for Olympians Only Olympic athletes and staff members of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games will get dibs on the new Note 8. The Olympic Galaxy Note 8 has a white glass back finish with the 5-ring Olympic logo. The phones will also have Olympic-themed wallpapers pre-installed. There will be over 4,000 handouts, not excluding Paralympians in the Paralympic Winter Games. Samsung previously handed out free Olympic edition Galaxy S7 Edges to athletes at the 2016 Rio Games.
