What should be done to raise a conscious generation?<br /><br />ADNAN OKTAR: Look at how wise the youth are and how decent young girls are. All of them are Qur'anic Muslims. All of them are intellectuals. Notice that we do not encounter any bigots or fanatics. All of them are quite decent, open-minded, rational, consistent, conscientious and reasonable people who keep an open conscious and are capable of holding a conversation. One can easily engage in conversation with these young girls and boys. All of them are level-headed. I have yet to see any irrational person among them.<br /><br />Now my dear, first of all, it is quite obvious that the whole system, the universe has to have a Creator. And since it has a Creator, He would not create a universe and leave it to its own devices. He would definitely teach us how to use this system. Otherwise, we would unwittingly destroy the system. For example, if we take a medicine we are unfamiliar with, God forbid we might lapse into a coma. Likewise, God teaches us how to use this system by means of a series of His messengers, Gabriel (pbuh) and the Prophet (pbuh). We absolutely have to have a good grasp of the Qur'an. In other words, we desperately need the Qur'an to be conscious, level-headed and deep in thought. But we have to make a rationalistic analysis of the Qur'an. We should not see the Qur'an in a cynical perspective; we should contemplate on how to put its teachings into practice. Once we are able to fully actualize the Qur'an, we can acquire immense wisdom. This, in turn, leads to success in all our endeavors, prevent us from being overcome by sadness and emotions, provide us with a sharp mind, a beautiful conscience, an immense capability of profound love. We find in it a great abundance. God makes us more lovable, and takes us under His protection. Therefore, we definitely should be trained in the moral values and tenets of the Qur'an.
