Professional surfers have performed amazing rides during the biggest swell since 2014 in Nazare, Portugal.<br /><br />The video, captured on January 18 in Praia do Norte, shows surfers riding up to 80-ft waves and experiencing terrifying wipeouts.<br /><br />According to local videographer Pedro Miranda, this swell originated from a North Atlantic storm, produced some of the biggest and heaviest waves the town has seen in years.<br /><br />Writes the filmer: "The biggest waves of the day were caught by Australian veteran surfer Ross Clarke-Jones, Sebastian Steudtner from Germany and French Benjamin Sanchis.<br /><br />''Maya Gabeira from Brazil may have caught the biggest wave ever surfed by a woman.''
