An amusing video from the Newsflare archive of a paddleboarder encountering a seal on the river Severn in Gloucestershire.<br /><br />Tristan Bawn was paddling up the river on the outskirts of Gloucester in 2013 when the friendly seal popped up from the water and began playing with his board.<br /><br />It is believed the mammal is 'Keith' a grey female seal who acquired celebrity status after a petition to save her from being returned to the sea gained more than 3,700 signatures.<br /><br />"20 miles inland on the river Severn on the outskirts of Gloucester, a seal pops up and tries to jump on to my Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). Later we found out it was a female seal called Keith, a bit of a celebrity on the river. It was an amazing experience and something we will never forget!"
