In celebration of the upcoming release of A Wrinkle in Time and its visionary director, Ava DuVernay, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Nissan North America have launched a nationwide search for the next visionary filmmaker! During this challenge, Disney is seeking to inspire innovative filmmakers – especially female filmmakers - to step up and share their unique storytelling voice. One lucky winner will be awarded $100,000 to create their own film, a trip to Hollywood for the World Premiere of A Wrinkle in Time, and an all-new 2018 Nissan LEAF!<br /> <br />A Wrinkle in Time is an upcoming American science fantasy adventure film directed by Ava DuVernay from a screenplay written by Jennifer Lee, and based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Madeleine L'Engle. The film stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peña, Storm Reid, Zach Galifianakis, and Chris Pine. Principal photography on the film began on November 2, 2016, in Los Angeles, California.
